Well, figured that I should at least throw some kind of an update at this, the content was getting a tad dated. (By just a couple of months)

In any case, I'm back up at home for the summer, working at my usual summer job. Not a lot of time to stroll around on photo walks like I do during the school year, but I've had the chance to take a few. I'll hopefully be posting at least a few photos a week, as long as I can take the time to upload them, which seems to take a tad longer every time I do it.

Well, finally got around to uploading some more of the pictures that had been sitting on my hard drive for a while, and took some more today. The connection here is terrible, so uploading takes about ten minutes per picture. Fairpoint Communications is not so good, I'd advise against using them as your ISP, if the question ever comes up.

So, after much more time and expense than planned, I've got the 'ol girl back. It took a lot of time, but dang, that new engine runs sweet! On the whole, it's probably a good thing, I now have a mostly-new truck for all intents and purposes. I wish it could have waited a year or so before blowing, though, would have been a bit easier.

Ah well, that's dealt with now. Back to the photos!

I just KNEW that things were going too smoothly there. Called up the mechanic, and found out that he had apparently entirely failed to inspect some of the parts he wished to re-use on the new engine, and there was a bad one. Sooooo, what should have been on order the past week just went on order today. Tomorrow I find out the third time estimate for getting it done. Maybe the jackass will even have it RIGHT this time.

Well, it looks like I might be getting the truck back tomorrow! I'm certainly ready to have it back, although I'll still probably be riding my bike everywhere. 50MPG certainly beats the 15 or so that I get in the truck. It will be nice to be able to run to the store and get milk without having to bum a ride, though.
