I REALLY should get around to updating this more often.  ... And commenting on the huge pile of watches that crop up while I'm not around, and uploading my photos, and soforth... Lately, I've been shifting a lot of my time into woodworking, specifically into turning on my lathe.  Started out with tops, but now I've sort of expanded into more customized stuff, and some small salad-bowl size dishes.  Overall, rather satisfying to do!  I'll be posting photos of some of my various new work as it comes along, most likely.  

Hey guys, finally back around!  Been busy as heck around here, been enjoying the new camera quite a bit.  I've posted some from it, and will be posting more before too long, hopefully. I had nearly a thousand entries in my watchlist, though, so instead of even TRYING to deal with them all, I nuked the whole shabang.  I'll be poking through accounts sort of one-at-a-time to try and see what I missed. Hope to have some more stuff up before too long, though!

Well, hopefully early this coming week my new Speedlight will show up!  Ordered a 580EXII this past Thursday, after spending several days playing with a friend's 430EXII.  The capability of the strobe to adequately light subjects in situations where my lenses are maxed out will be extremely useful, and I can't wait to get more experience with it.  I'm enjoying the heck out of being able to direct and control my lighting, and I'm learning quite a lot at the same time.  I think my next acquisition after this will be a couple more dumb-strobes, a Cactus v4 trigger set, and a pair of light stands with umbrellas or softboxes to get some off-camera
